Foster Youth Transition Foundation (FYTF) works to assist foster youth with some of the expenses associated with the last two years of high school, as well as expenses associated with the transition to their graduation goal after high school. FYTF provides funding to foster youth so that they may participate in activities with their peers. In this way, foster youth can enjoy the full benefit of their education, allowing them the opportunity to develop social skills and to find and build their own peer support group. Funds come from private, corporate and government contributions and grants. FYTF distributes these funds to the foster youth via the organization in which they wish to be involved in. Examples of items and activities funded by FYTF are sports participation, college application fees, science fair supplies, graduation fees (including diploma, cap, and gown), yearbooks, class rings, uniforms, and more.
