Note: If you are still in the custody and care of DHS, you may contact your DHS worker to see if you are eligible for ILP services. If you have already exited the system before the age of 21, you will need to go to your local DHS child welfare office and request "voluntary services". For a list of office locations, click here. If you qualify for ILP services in Crook, Deschutes, or Jefferson Counties, you’ll be working with Meadowlark Independent Living Program. The Meadowlark ILP offers educational assistance that includes tutoring, alternative education, college prep, and high school or GED completion. They also offer employment assistance through job readiness training, job search, and placement. In addition, they offer important life skills training that includes money management, housekeeping, transportation, health, food management, legal skills, and use of community resources.
