Note: If you are still in the custody and care of DHS, you may contact your DHS worker to see if you are eligible for ILP services. If you have already exited the system before the age of 21, you will need to go to your local DHS child welfare office and request "voluntary services". For a list of office locations, click here. If you qualify for ILP services in Lincoln, Linn, or Benton Counties, you’ll be working with Community Services Consortium. The CSC Independent Living Skill Building Program will help you prepare to live independently. You will receive assistance in developing a transition plan which includes help with career planning, money management, skill building, academic assistance, and confidence building.
