Oregon youth who age out of foster care, or who are adopted after age 16, may be eligible for the Former Foster Youth Tuition Waiver in Oregon's public universities and community colleges. The waiver was designed to provide access to Oregon community colleges and public universities – your education no longer has to be out of reach! If you have spent 12 or more months in foster care between 16-21, if you are under the age of 25, if you have not yet achieved a bachelor’s degree, and if you are enrolling/have enrolled at an Oregon community college or public university within three years of leaving foster care OR earning your high school diploma/GED ( whichever is earliest), you qualify!
